I am in my final year of working toward a bachelor's degree in Technical Writing from the University of Central Florida. After graduation, I plan to continue my education and earn a master's degree in Creative Writing. I have been tutoring for many years in a variety of different situations, including tutoring fellow Boy Scouts, helping my mother with tutoring her college and high school math students, and tutoring my brother in a wide range of academic courses. I'm able to help students attending elementary school to college in reading, writing, phonics, literature, and grammar concepts. I'm also able to help students prepare for the English sections on the ACT, PSAT, and SAT. I love helping students of all ages increase their English skills, and believe in laying down a solid foundation for students to build upon. I enjoy getting to know my students' individual learning styles, as no two students learn in the same way. I think it's important to tailor my tutoring style to match my students' needs, and I always take a customized approach to tutoring. When I'm not sharing my love of the English language with my students, I enjoy backpacking, scuba diving, and playing video games.
